“RUN WITH THE PACK”

ABOUT SRFC

Stichtsche Rugby Football Club

The official rugby club in De Bilt since 2013.

About SRFC

The Stichtsche Rugby Football Club (SRFC) is a young, enthusiastic rugby club in De Bilt for children aged 4 to 18. We primarily welcome children from De Bilt, Zeist Noord and Utrecht Noord and Oost.

Our field (number 7) is located at the Weltevreden sports park in De Bilt, next to football club FC De Bilt. The address is Weltevreden 1 3731 AL De Bilt.

In the young youth up to and including 15 years we have our own teams, which play in the district competitions of Rugby Nederland (the Dutch rugby association). The older youth from 16 to 18 years play in the national Rugby Nederland competition.

SRFC follows the international training guidelines of World Rugby and Rugby Nederland. These are aimed at teaching young children the game of rugby and the associated behaviour in a playful and safe way.

The club colours are dark blue with dark red. In our logo you see the Stichtsche wolf, our symbol for solidarity, discipline, good teamwork and perseverance.

 Code of Conduct

SRFC follows a code of conduct for supervisors within the club, aimed at reducing unwanted behaviour in the relationship between athletes and their trainers/supervisors. Additionally, these guidelines serve as a reference point for the behaviour of supervisors and athletes in specific situations. All our trainers and supervisors are in possession of certificate of conduct (a VOG).

For more information, please read the NOC NSF website.

Confidential advisor

Esther Tamboer is SRFC confidential advisor. Esther is a former rugby player and has been associated with SRFC since the start. She spent years coaching the turfs and later took on our benjamins. Now she can often be found on the field as a referee during our tournaments. You can send Esther a message via the contact form. She will then contact you as soon as possible to plan an appointment.
