A beautiful Easter tradition, also this year the Swiss Barbarians started their NL trip on the Stichtsche field. Nice ball and then a well-cared for lunch and third half. The famous SRFC clog goes to Switzerland.

Juniors #2

17 april

After a very exciting competition our juniors managed to secure the second hard-fought place in the pool. With one point difference on number three. What a season; a great team together with RC Nieuwegein and RC Spakenburg.

Our own SRFC bar is ready! Thanks to the groundsmen Stijn, Philip and Bas. A nice spot in the canteen of FC De Bilt for our third half, a spot for our prizes and not to forget, our SRFC Wolven Wall of Fame.

USRS youth department supports 't Vlaggenschip

The flagship played an exciting game on the Stichtsche field. Our wolves were of course present to encourage their trainers and with result, victory for USRS 1.

Tackle training!

Low income, the ring or steel and go! A nice tackle training for our youngest hungry wolves. Sometimes it's quite a struggle for the helping parents.

Our youngest wolves were allowed to accompany the players of the Swiss Rugby team to the field before the match. What an experience to enter the stadium with all the accompanying respect #beautifulmemories #rugby.

Orange Women XV on a visit

How beautiful and special. The Dutch women's team was looking for an alternative training location and they are of course always welcome at our club! Before the training there was also time for our young wolves to get to know the ladies. Sometimes our woven were a bit shy, but in the end a lot of signatures were collected. Ladies, very nice and thank you for being there!

First 2025 TB home tournament

Our youngest wolves are loose again, last weekend our first TB home tournament of the year and we started it well. A beautiful successful day.

SRFC Wintergames

January 19

This year we started the year well with the Wintergames, young and old compete against each other in an exciting "tag rugby" tournament. Then eat together at long tables, a delicious well-deserved stamppot buffet.

Sunny start to 2025

January 11th

Outside it is bleak and cold, but inside in the warm soft sand our wolves are going wild. What a great start of the year at the Indoor Beach Rugby tournament. With five TBM teams ready and well played all.

First 2025 junior competition cancelled

January 11th

Unfortunately, unfortunately, the first junior match of 2025 against CL Big Vroem cannot go ahead. The field has been rejected. The catch-up match is scheduled for February 15.

14 december

Despite the winter conditions, the young wolves have shown that they know how to tackle things. With visiting clubs: URC, Eemland and Pink Panthers, a nice end to 2024. On to the new year.

Rugby Piets on a visit

An exciting Piet course and a game of tag rugby with the Piets! The Piets did their very best, but fitting an oval rugby ball is quite difficult, luckily they were very good at scattering and throwing gingerbread nuts!

Our sales tiger or "wolf"

Regional consultation together with Rugby Netherlands

Under the leadership of Rugby Nederland we hosted the regional consultation in the canteen that we share with FC De Bilt. A nice constructive consultation between the different rugby clubs in the region.

Big Club Campaign

10 november

Our wolves have also been on the road for the Grote Clubactie this year and with a great result. They have sold 1,340 tickets. Our youngest wolves; the guppies and turves have again sold the most tickets as a team and have won the "Haute friture" team dinner together.

Rugby & Halloween in Düsseldorf

Our brave warriors visited the Düsseldorf Dragons. A nice exciting game: Wolves vs Dragons. Afterwards our players ended the evening in Halloween style in a laser game arena. For some perhaps a bit too exciting.....

Halloween is just around the corner and then it happens, the Stischtsche wolves turn into dangerous werewolves. A crazy party with an exciting match between the parents and the werewolves and a nice bun on the field.

Guppies & peat in the field

Every Wednesday our youngest wolves train on the field. Our guppies (U6) and Turven (U8) train from 17:30 to 18:30. Would you like to come and watch and train with us? Great, always welcome!

Youngest wolf makes TRY

General Meeting

Our second General Meeting is over! All the documents have been approved and we have installed a new board member, welcome Ruth Kröner! Unfortunately, we have also said goodbye to Jan-Paul Post and Jeroen Plat. Fortunately, these gentlemen will remain involved with the club as experienced wise wolves. Once again, thank you very much for your contribution.

The season has also started for the Stichtsche bakers. Last weekend our first MINI tournament and the baking team made plenty of delicious things for our guests, loyal fans and always eager and hungry wolves.

It's a wrap

The season is over and what a season! Our anniversary year, the first Stichtsche championship for a wolf team, the first Stichtsche wolf who leaves our club at the age of 18 and much more, too much to mention for our chairman during the annual speech. We look back on a very nice year and on to the coming season!

North Sea Beach

June 22 & 23, 2024

Traditionally, we also closed the season this year with the North Sea Beach tournament. With six Stichtsche wolven teams on Saturday and Sunday, playing balls in the sun on the sand. It doesn't get any better than this!

Beach rugby Hoek van Holland

June 1 & 2, 2024

Our Wolves & Goats participated for the first time in the International Youth Beach Rugby Tournament. Playing balls on the beach, joining the BBQ together, catching a few hours of sleep at the campsite and heading to De Bilt tired but satisfied on Sunday. A great event and we will definitely be there again next year.

Farewell to our peat tamer Marlynn

After many wonderful seasons, it is unfortunately time for Marlynn, our peat tamer, to say goodbye. We will miss her so much! We want to thank her enormously for the great training sessions, fun lessons and great rugby basic skills that she taught our youngest wolves with great pleasure. One last time through the gates, we will miss you Marlynn!

Run with the pack "Obstacle Run"

Our wolves started eagerly and clean "Run with the pack" After a number of beautiful obstacles, it broke loose with rain and thunder and the event was unfortunately canceled. The amount of mud was no less and "every disadvantage has its advantage". Nicely in time for the F1 and the day ended with a cozy and tasty BBQ at our cluster partner Rugby Club Nieuwegein. All in all a beautiful day.

Rugby with a "touch"

Once the young wolves go home exhausted, the parents take over the field. There is an enthusiastic group of parents who train weekly and play a nice game of touch rugby with each other. Tackling opponents is replaced by a touch. Would you like to train with us sometime? Great! We train on Tuesday evenings from 20:00-21:00.

Safety and fun are paramount! A great first aid training for our parents, trainers and volunteers in collaboration with World Rugby and Rugby Nederland. AED check, the first aid kit is in order and here we practice the MILS (Manual in-line stabilisation), hopefully never needed, but we are prepared! See you on the field.

Friends day

Playing rugby is fun, but it's even more fun with a friend! Last Sunday we organized an open training for all our wolves and their friends, girlfriends, brothers, sisters and neighborhood children. Playing ball together, it was a fun and cozy crazy crowd on the field!

Challenge Yourself

A challenging 12-week sports activity for young athletes in the municipality of De Bilt. An initiative of SRFC, FC De Bilt, HSV Centrals and Irene volleyball. Athletes between the ages of 12 and 16 can register for free and will be intensively supervised for 12 weeks by an experienced team of coaches and physiotherapists, with the aim of shaping and achieving their own challenge.
