Would you like to learn more about Rugby and make an active contribution on the field? Register for this course for starting referees. The starting referee coaches the players on the field with regard to the rules of the game. Theory and practice alternate. Saturday February 10th from 9.30am to 5pm @ our SRFC field and canteen.
Description
This course is aimed at starting referees. The starting referee coaches the players on the field with regard to the rules of the game, the subjects are:
- Explanation of the game
- Basic skills and safety in contact situations
- Risk management and ethical aspects
- Referee's duties
- Communication with stakeholders
- Positioning on the field
- Benefit Rules
Target audience
The starting referee will be able to referee matches at the club and in the region.
Admission requirements
- 14 years and older
- Fair condition
- Willingness to be deployed as a referee
Duration of training & preparation 8 hours of lessons in the field & 8 hours of self-study

E-learning, before starting the course the following programs must be completed via the website passport.worldrugby.org and completed with a certificate:
- Rugby Ready
- Introduction to Match Officiating (Pre level 1)
- Concussions
CostsThe costs for participation are reimbursed by the sports agreement (municipality), participation is free if you register via the form below.
